I have a lot of trouble believing it’s a minority, “fringe”, group of parents worried about content their kids are exposed too. We really need more debates like this; I would love to see our media continue this idea of two people in similar positions talking about different ideals. If you are obsessed with identify politics and the mass murder of unborn children then you think Newsome won, if you want less crime, a better economy and the ability to pursue the American dream you think DeSantis won. It’s good to have variety. This article in the second paragraphs lists the actual facts associated with the bill. It then goes on to speared misinformation about what issues “critics” have with the bill. These items are facts and truth, as in people actually said that and that are those peoples opinion. However, according to this article the fact is that the bill makes sure that classroom instruction about sexual orientation and gender is taught “in a manner that is not age appropriate or developmentally appropriate for students in accordance with state standards”. This law, just like any controversial law, needs to be taken to court and confirmed constitutional. Also this USA Today article continuously calls it the “don’t say gay bil’” even after it gives it’s REAL title and what the bill actually entitles. At least they didn’t completely lie. The actual name of the bill is titled The Parental Rights in Education. When you read this article it states that the bill bans classroom instruction by school personnel or third parties on sexual orientation or gender identity in kindergarten through third grade.
