Of course there is no “official” title of “boarder czar” but her responsibilities were laid out. They included leading the efforts with other countries in “stemming the migration to the southern border” and “lead diplomatic relations to accept returnees” and “enhance immigration enforcement at their borders”. Harris accepted the task and stated she would “enforce the law” and “address root causes”. Does it sound like she is responsible for the border?
