One of the worst movies I watched in 2023.

 

One of the worst movies I watched in 2023. It’s like a sneeze that never comes. You don’t find anything about the actual events of the world, which would be ok if you enjoyed the ride but there are only a few entertaining scenes that involve vehicle crashs. Half way through the movie I felt the suspense was never going to end and I stopped caring.

Every female character in this movie is annoying. 2 of them are outright racists, draw unexplainable conclusion about other characters based on little interaction, and while looking for a small child they stop to scream at deer. The youngest female character ignores her parent’s instructions to keep her safe and then ignores her mother’s screams to watch TV. Almost every decision made by a female in this movie is irrational, selfish and prejudice.

The bright side in this film is the male characters. Both men are involved fathers who care about their children and take risks to try and keep their family safe, healthy and happy. Both men are standoffish with each other at first, understandably because they are complete strangers, but they understand if they want to survive a post apocalyptic world they must trust each other.

People talked about racial undertones in this movie but I disagree. The individuals involved in the racists behaviors don’t make any wise decisions anyway, so it’s reasonable they would judge people not on the content of their character.

It’s time to admit Romney was right. Yet about 9mins in he is mocked. People have to ask themselves would there be war in Eastern Europe if Romney was elected or if Trump won a second term? Have Democrats developed a better foreign policy since 2012? I would argue that democrats are so concerned with wokeness that they can’t see beyond our borders.
