Carter again cites racism as factor in Obama's treatment - CNN.com

Claiming false victim status, leads to real victims. Have all the recent attacks on Tim Scott been raciest? What about statements made about Clarence Thomas? Was Vivek Ramaswamy attached by Don Lemon on CNN because for the color of his skin? It’s interesting that all of these “raciest attacks” only happen to minority liberals.

I’m so happy Obama had Bill Cosby run to his rescue; I wonder how many women he took advantage of within the 24hrs prior to these comments. How far we have come from yawning and sending text messages being disrespectful to ripping up the President’s speech being acceptable behavior.

This should be eye opening, even Jimmy Carter in 2009 knew that we were importing to much oil from countries that don’t really care for our own “well-being”.

Former President Jimmy Carter reiterated Wednesday that he believes racism is an issue for President Obama in trying to lead the country.

"When a radical fringe element of demonstrators and others begin to attack the president of the United States as an animal or as a reincarnation of Adolf Hitler or when they wave signs in the air that said we should have buried Obama with Kennedy, those kinds of things are beyond the bounds," the Democrat who served from 1977-1981 told students at Emory University.

"I think people who are guilty of that kind of personal attack against Obama have been influenced to a major degree by a belief that he should not be president because he happens to be African American.

Carter's comments came a day after he said racial politics played a role in South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson's outburst during Obama's speech to Congress last week and in some of the opposition the president has faced since taking office.

"I think an overwhelming portion of the intensely demonstrated animosity toward President Barack Obama is based on the fact that he is a black man, that he's African- American," Carter told "NBC Nightly News."

"While one representative hurled the now infamous 'you lie' insult at the president, others made their lack of interest known by exhibiting rude behavior such as deliberately yawning and sending text messages."

Carter noted that when he became president in 1977, the nation was importing 8.6 million barrels of oil per day. By 1982, that number had been halved to 4.3 million. "Now, it's 13 million barrels per day, and we're heavily dependent, as you know, on imported oil from some countries that don't really care about our own well-being."

I hope none of it has ever leaked in her bag.

Joe Biden should take the same test.
