In a Long Island town, neighbors now make assumptions, true and sometimes false, about people who conspicuously display American flags.

Please don’t criminalize the flag that so many have died for! Does it mean anything that Union soldiers died under that flag fighting against slavery?   

I wonder how the slaves felt when they saw the American flag come over the horizon during the civil war, how did the Jews in concentration camps feel when they saw it? What about immigrants entering the county? Afghans who helped our soldiers, abandon by Joe Biden and IF still alive; how would they feel if they saw that flag?

Again this shows how much liberals hate this county. This article complains that democrats have ceded this national emblem and for a minority or democrats that is true! We have the majority of people that want to fly the flag in their front yard, who know people who died for the flag and a small minority who burn it during protests and kneel during the anthem.

When this article actually gets to the facts we find that this idea of anti-patriotism is in the VAST minority with “about 70% of Americans” saying “the flag make them feel proud”. Liberals want you to think you are in the minority, when in fact patriots make up that majority and haters are going to hate.

John Hocker, a Republican who said he sometimes votes Democratic, also said he felt the flag had lost its meaning of unity.
