All of the media jumped to conclusions and ruined lives before finding out any facts. The hive mind, mob of the left expects an immediate response, no investigation, no fair trial; just immediate “JUSTICE”.  2 different sets of DNA samples were taken and no matches were found. The DA Nifong (who was running for reelection) used this allegation to further her platform and was later charged and convicted of “criminal contempt for making misleading statements to a judge”.

In April of that year, the attorney general announced Evans, Finnerty and Seligmann had been wrongly accused and dismissed all charges against them. Nifong was heavily criticized for his rush to judgment and his heavy reliance on the faulty testimony of the accuser. He was disbarred in June and later convicted of criminal contempt for making misleading statements to a judge.
