Anyone pushing any sort of idea related to “Hands up, don’t shoot” is spreading misinformation and is dangerous. Michael Brown never said that, witness’s accounts change and were inconsistence with physical evidence. There are four politicians in this article that confirm to spreading misinformation. This misinformation and the several congress members spreading incited several police officers to be shot, a few deaths, violence and property destruction. The WAPO gave this saying four Pinocchios, as only 1 individual who witnessed the shooting had told an inaccurate version of events.

Investigators narrowed down the “hands up” claim to a witness – Witness 128 – who had told his family and neighbors his inaccurate version of events as crowds gathered minutes and hours after the shooting, the report says.
Four members of Congress– New York Democrats Hakeem Jeffries and Yvette Clarke, and Texas Democrats Sheila Jackson Lee and Al Green — raised their hands during their speeches in solidarity with the “Hands up, don’t shoot” movement.
“Hands up, don’t shoot” did not happen in Brown’s killing, and it is a characterization that deserves Four Pinocchios. Politicians should step carefully if they try to highlight this expression in the future.
