When we discuss this idea of Transsexual individuals usually the topic of intersex is brought up. These are individuals in which phenotype (an individual’s observable traits) is not classifiable under male or female or is inconsistent with the chromosomal sex (X,Y or X,X).

This study publish by PubMed disproves a previous study that suggested 1.7% of individuals are intersex. The pervious study includes “conditions which most clinicians do not recognize as intersex, such as Klinefelter syndrome, Turner syndrome, and late-onset adrenal hyperplasia”. The study goes on to state the more recognized definition of intersex and suggests that the previous study was 100 times higher than the actually percentage of intersex individuals.

It’s a weak argument to include this 0.018% of individuals when discussing transgender individuals. I would assume these individuals have much more pressing matter then what sport they are going to participate in.
