She is correct if more individuals practiced abstinence outside of marriage, it would significantly reduce the amount of unwanted pregnancies and the spread of STDs. I wonder how long Bette held out? Next month would be an entire year! Would it be hypocritical if she has sexual intercourse with her husband this last year? Was this another rule for thee and not for me? If she did sleep with her husband this past year, does that say anything about how much she actually cares about women’s rights?
