According to this article 187 U.S. citizens wanted to STAY in Afghanistan after “Chaotic US withdrawal”. Almost ever article you read relating to individuals left behind in Afghanistan they actually number of people is always higher then what was “publicly estimated”.

The State Department informed congressional staff Thursday that it is in touch with 363 US citizens in Afghanistan, 176 of whom want to leave, two sources familiar with the call told CNN.
