It’s nice to see the Washington give a half page article to a Border patrol agent who lost his life saving migrants. Does Joey take responsibility for this? I love how this guy is a “state employee” while the border agents who “strapped” migrants would receive consequences. Kamala can you find the root cause for this 22 year olds death? How many more people have to suffer and die at the boarder before someone does something?

I wonder if we enforced laws at the border, found the root causes or finished building the wall; would Spec. Bishop E. Evans still be alive?

Texas officials have recovered the body of a National Guard soldier who drowned in the Rio Grande last week while trying to rescue migrants attempting to cross the border at the river, according to a statement released Monday.

Evans was one of thousands of Texas Army National Guard soldiers deployed by Gov. Greg Abbott (R) under orders to help secure the border.

Abbott said he was “heartbroken” by Bishop’s death.

“We are eternally grateful for the way SPC Evans heroically served his state and country,” the governor said in a statement.

The department said Evans was trying to rescue two migrants in distress near Eagle Pass. Both survived and are in the custody of U.S. Customs and Border Protection officials.
